SIMON ANCHER ON ICONIC DESIGNS
Simon Ancher is an established award-winning designer and director of Simon Ancher Studio in Launceston. He is the former Director of the Furniture Design Program at UTAS. Simon's practice references subtle gestures, details and minimalist reduction. He appreciates and strives for pure simple design ideas and aesthetics.

Anita Dineen on designing in Tasmania
Anita’s curiosity & sensitivity is channelled into her whimsical creations of jewellery and sculptural homewares and has received significant recognition through exhibitions, awards and local & international media. Most notably, winning the inaugural Alessi + Vogue Living Design Award and the 2015 New York City Design Prize for homewares.

Lucy Given on design retail
Lucy Given is the owner of multi-award winning retail store, LUC. Design, in Hobart Tasmania. The store was opened in 2013 and trades in world-leading designers including Missoni, Tom Dixon, Kartell, Dinosaur Designs and more.
‘There are people that have come out of Tasmania who have done extraordinary things for design in the world. There's no reason that design in Tasmania can't be seen like our food and wine: considered, coveted and seen as a prize.’
